Entry into Masonry
The Cincotta family has been involved in masonry and block manufacturing since 1922, and has built multi-generational relationships across the industry.
Prior to Connie’s entry into the field, both her father and grandfather built careers in masonry. Her grandfather opened the first family business in 1922, purchasing the plot of the land in East Flatbush where her father ultimately spent decades working and where Glenwood Mason operates today.
Becoming Glenwood Mason
With a rich background in the masonry business dating back to 1983, Connie Cincotta, the founder and current President of Glenwood Mason, officially established Glenwood Mason Supply Company in 1991.
The founding of Glenwood Mason Supply Company would go on to form a group of distinct companies that work together to provide expanded services to customers throughout New York: Glenwood Mason, Ferguson Hauling, and Superior Block.
Today in New York
Since then Glenwood Mason has grown into the largest manufacturer of concrete block in New York City, offering contractors and homeowners best-in-class products and unmatched customer service.
With its massive market share and a forward-looking approach to sustainability, Glenwood Mason is playing a critical role in helping shape the New York City of tomorrow.
